Siinä suursiivouksessa lauantaina... (Nyt tämä kyllä uhkaa kuulostaa jo siltä, että mikään ei jäänyt paikalleen.) ... siirrettiin myös keittiön hyllyä. Olin odotellut löytäväni yhden jutun, mutta menestyksellinen kirppareiden kiertäminen on jäänyt niin vähille viime kuukausina, että ajattelin, että muutosta pitää nyt saada aikaan ilmankin. Keittiössä pöytä oli muutenkin jouluvieraiden vuoksi niin suureksi avattuna kuin mahdollista, joten tuntui luontevalta siirtää astiahyllyä lähemmäksi ovea. Se oli muutaman minuutin juttu. Mutta kuten tiedätte yhdestä muutoksesta seuraa helposti toinenkin muutos. Idea on jo mielessä, joten jos se toimii, tämä ei vielä tähän jää.

During the big cleaning on Saturday... (Oh my, it begins slowly to sound as if nothing was left intact!) ...we also shoved the kitchen shelf. I have been planning to find one new piece of furniture to the kitchen, but my secondhand shopping has been too rare and too unsuccessful lately. Finally I gave up on it and thought that some change has to happen anyway. The kitchen table was anyway stretched as large as possible due to the Christmas guests, so it seemed only natural to move the shelf closer to the door. That took only few minutes. But as you know, one change leads to another... Now I have an idea in my mind. If it works, this shelf thing will not be the only change in the kitchen.
